Description
This medicine is a synthetic corticosteroid and it shows anti-inflammatory action, anti-allergic action, immunosuppressive action and various metabolic actions.
It is usually used for the treatment of various diseases such as rheumatic disease, collagen disease and allergic disease.

Dosage form: white tablet with 1/2 split line on one side, diameter: 7.0 mm, thickness: 3.4 mm

Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or to be written by a healthcare professional
• In general, for adults, take 1 to 12 tablets (5 to 60 mg as the active ingredient) daily in 1 to 4 divided doses. The dosage may be adjusted according to disease, age and symptoms of the patient.
• In cases where this medicine is used for acute phase of Kawasaki disease, in general, take 2 mg per 1 kg of body weight daily in 3 divided doses. The maximum daily dose is up to 12 tablets (60 mg).
• In both cases, strictly follow the instructions.
• If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
• If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
• If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
• If you have: infection, generalized mycosis, peptic ulcer, psychosis, tuberculosis, herpes simplex keratitis, posterior subcapsular cataract, glaucoma, hypertension, abnormal electrolyte, thrombosis, a history of acute myocardial infarction.
• If you had a surgery in visceral organ recently.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
• Take care not to catch infection with chickenpox or measles while taking this medicine.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
• The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash and moon face. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
• cold-like symptoms, malaise, fever [induced infection, exacerbation of infection]
• general malaise, nausea, thirst [secondary adrenocortical insufficiency, diabetes mellitus]
• stomachache, nausea, blackened feces [gastrointestinal ulcer, gastrointestinal perforation, gastrointestinal bleeding]
• severe pain in upper abdomen or lower back, vomiting [pancreatitis]
• feeling depressed, feeling unmotivated, muscle spasmodically contracting [psychiatric disturbance, depressive state, convulsions]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
Storing Conditions
• Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
• Discard the remainder, do not store.
