Description
This medicine has angiotensin II-receptor antagonistic activity to decrease blood pressure. It is usually used to treat hypertension.

Ingredients and dosage form
white tablet with a split line, major axis: 14.6 mm, minor axis: 5.8 mm, thickness: 5.7 mm

Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional.
- Adults: In general, take 40 to 80 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to age or symptoms of the patient. DO NOT exceed the daily maximum dosage, 1 tablet (160 mg).
- Children over 6 years old: In general, for children weighing less than 35 kg, take 20 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. For children weighing 35 kg and more, take 40 mg at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to age, weight or symptoms of the patient. DO NOT exceed the daily maximum dosage, 40 mg for children weighing less than 35 kg. This preparation contains 160 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
- If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
- If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
- If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
- If you have diabetes mellitus.
- If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-- counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

This medicine may cause dizziness/lightheadedness due to decreased blood pressure. Be aware of operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car and working at heights.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include photosensitivity, rash, itch, hives, erythema, dizziness, hypotension, headache and palpitation. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

swelling of face/lip/throat/tongue [angioedema]
loss of appetite, general malaise, nausea/vomiting [hepatitis]
decreased urine output, swelling of limbs and face, general malaise [renal failure]
numbness in limbs/lips, muscular weakness, paralysis in limbs [hyperkalemia]
coldness, vomiting, loss of consciousness [shock, faint, loss of consciousness]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

Storing Conditions
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Discard the remainder, do not store.
