A Japanese over-the-counter medicated topical liquid from Taisho Pharmaceutical, applied with a sponge applicator head. It is a salicylate-based liniment with glycol salicylate, l-menthol and nonivamide. Supplied in a 100 ml bottle.

Indications

Stiff shoulders, lower back pain, muscle pain, muscle fatigue, joint pain, chilblains, bruises, sprains.

Ingredients & form

Active ingredients per 100 mL:
l-menthol 6.0 g
Glycol salicylate 6.5 g
Nonivamide (nonanoic acid vanillylamide) 8 mg
Vitamin E acetate 0.5 g
Glycyrrhizic acid 0.1 g
Additive: alcohol.
Form: topical analgesic and anti-inflammatory liquid, 100 mL bottle.

Dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area several times a day.
(1) When used by children, use under the guidance and supervision of a guardian. As the stimulation may be felt strongly, avoid use in children under 13 years.
(2) Take care not to get it in the eyes. If it gets in the eyes, rinse immediately with water or lukewarm water; if symptoms are severe, see an ophthalmologist.
(3) For external use only; do not take internally.
(4) Do not use within 1 hour before bathing. Bathing right after use may cause strong irritation.
(5) People with sensitive skin should not use it repeatedly on the same spot.
(6) Before use, apply a small amount to the arm etc. and make sure that rash, redness, itching, contact dermatitis, pain or similar symptoms do not occur.
(7) Let the treated area dry well. Clothing touching it before it dries may become discoloured.
(8) If strong irritation is felt, gently wash the area with well-lathered soap, then cool it well.

Warnings

Do not (not following this may worsen current symptoms or make side effects more likely):
Do not use on the following areas:
(1) Around the eyes, mucous membranes etc.
(2) Eczema, contact dermatitis, wounds.

Storage

Store with the cap closed in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
Keep away from fire.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not transfer to another container (this may cause misuse or a change in quality).
The alcohol and other ingredients may damage plastic products and the finish of furniture, fittings etc.; take care that the liquid does not come into contact with them.
Do not use after the expiry date.
