SALCOAT Capsule for Oral Spray 50μg
Generic name: Beclometasone Dipropionate
Manufactured by: Teijin Pharma
Description
This medicine is a synthetic adrenocortical steroid, which suppresses inflammation associated with stomatitis through its anti-inflammatory effects.
It is usually used to treat refractory stomatitis accompanied by erosion or ulcer.
Ingredients and dosage form
blue/light blue capsule for external use (spray), major axis: approx. 18 mm, minor axis: approx. 6 mm
Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional.
In general, spray 1 capsule (50 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, 2 to 3 times a day, using a dedicated small nebulizer (Puvlizer). Spray the medicine evenly on areas of stomatitis. The dosage may be adjusted according to your symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
How to use the dedicated small nebulizer (Puvlizer) (For details, refer to the instructions for use.)
Remove the large cap (white) and the small cap (cream). Hold a capsule with dry fingers, insert the capsule into the small cap from the underside, and put the small cap back on. Pay attention not to let the capsule inside the small cap fall out. Next, tightly cover the nozzle down to the base with the large cap. (With this, the needle inside the large cap makes a hole in the capsule.) Then, remove the large cap again.
Insert the nozzle in your mouth, and spray the medicine on the stomatitis. At that time, pay attention not to let the tip of the nozzle get wet. The capsule will become empty after you press the rubber bulb about 10 times. Remove the capsule after spraying.
This medicine is intended to be sprayed on stomatitis. Do not swallow the capsule or spray the medicine in your eyes.
If you miss a dose, spray the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your next dosing schedule. You should not spray two doses at one time.
If you accidentally spray more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
