MOVIPREP Combination Powder
Generic name: Sodium/potassium/ascorbic acid combination preparation
Manufactured by: EA Pharma
Description
This medicine is a bowel-cleansing agent used to cleanse the intestines by inducing the excretion of watery stool.
It effectively eliminates intestinal contents and is most commonly prescribed as a preparation for colonoscopy or large intestine surgery.
By thoroughly cleansing the colon, it helps ensure a clear view during medical examination or operation.
Ingredients and dosage form
Large compartment: white powder
Small compartment: white to yellowish-white powder
Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule and method of administration must be determined by your doctor or healthcare provider. Always follow medical instructions precisely.
General Dosage
Dissolve the contents of one pouch in water to make about 2 liters of solution.
For adults, drink the solution at a rate of approximately 1 liter per hour. After consuming 1 liter of the solution, drink about 0.5 liter of water or tea. Stop taking the solution when the excreted fluid becomes clear. The total intake should not exceed 2 liters of solution. If the bowel content remains uncleared, continue drinking the solution until the stool becomes transparent, then drink additional water or tea equal to half the volume of the solution taken.
For Colonoscopy Preparation
Do not eat breakfast on the day of your examination (you may drink water). Start taking the solution at least 3 hours before your scheduled colonoscopy.
For Large Intestine Surgery Preparation
Begin fasting after lunch the day before surgery (water is allowed). Start drinking the solution 3 hours or more after beginning the fast.
Important Instructions
Dissolve the entire content of the pouch to make about 2 L of solution.
Before drinking, ensure the internal partition of the pouch is fully opened and no powder remains.
Use only water for preparation—do not mix with any other liquids or ingredients.
Make sure you had a normal bowel movement the day before or before starting the solution. If not, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Drink slowly, especially during the first few glasses (2–3 glasses).
Safety Advice During Intake
If you experience abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or paleness, stop drinking immediately and contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If these symptoms appear after you finish drinking, also seek medical advice right away.
If you experience dry mouth or dehydration, drink extra water or tea, particularly if you are elderly.
When taking the solution at home, it is recommended to have another person nearby to assist if adverse reactions occur.

If you took more than prescribed, consult your doctor immediately.
