Nodonuru Spray EX Cool is a Japanese throat disinfectant spray (Class 3 OTC drug) by Kobayashi Pharmaceutical for disinfecting and sterilising the throat.
100 mL contains iodine 0.5 g.
Form: throat spray (solution) with a nozzle.

Indications

Disinfection and sterilisation of the throat.

Ingredients & form

Throat spray (solution). 100 mL contains:
- Iodine 0.5 g
Additives: potassium iodide, glycerin, propylene glycol, ethanol, l-menthol.

Dosage

Spray an appropriate amount onto the affected part several times a day.
Precautions related to dosage:
(1) Point the nozzle at the affected part of the throat and spray while breathing out gently (if you spray while breathing in, the liquid may get into the bronchi or lungs).
(2) Take particular care when a child uses it; children should use it only under the guidance and supervision of a guardian.
(3) Take care not to get it into the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse at once with water or lukewarm water; if symptoms are severe, see an eye doctor.
(4) For use in the throat only.
(5) If a large amount is swallowed by mistake, see a doctor at once.
A doctor's instructions prevail.

Warnings

Do not use:
1. Do not use this product if you:
- have ever had an allergic reaction to this product, its ingredients or iodine (povidone-iodine);
- have a thyroid disease;
- are an infant under 2 years of age;
- are pregnant or may be pregnant;
- are breast-feeding.
2. Do not use continuously for a long time.
3. Do not spray large amounts.
Consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist or registered seller before use if you:
- are under the care of a doctor or dentist;
- have ever had an allergic reaction to any medicine;
- have severe sores in the mouth.
Stop use at once and consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist or registered seller if after use:
- skin: rash/redness, itching;
- mouth: roughness, stinging, burning or irritation;
- digestive: nausea;
- other: discomfort.
Rarely shock (anaphylaxis) may occur — itching, hives, hoarseness, sneezing, itchy throat, difficulty breathing, palpitations or clouded consciousness soon after use: see a doctor immediately.
If symptoms do not improve after 5–6 days of use, stop use and consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist or registered seller.
If a large amount is swallowed by mistake, see a doctor at once. Keep away from the eyes; if it gets into the eyes, rinse at once with water or lukewarm water and see an eye doctor if symptoms are severe. Children should use it only under adult supervision.

Storage

(1) Store upright with the cap firmly closed, in a cool place with little humidity, away from direct sunlight.
(2) Keep out of the reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to another container (this may cause misuse or change the quality).
(4) Keep away from fire (contains propylene glycol).
- After use, always put the cap on and return the nozzle to its original position for storage.
- When carrying it, put it in the enclosed plastic bag.
- If the liquid spills during use and stains clothing, wash it with water at once.
- If no liquid comes out, press repeatedly until it does; do not poke the tip of the nozzle with a needle or similar.
- Do not use after the expiry date (on the bottom of the package and on the container label).
