Purpose

An acerola-flavoured jelly-drink powder from Yakult Health Foods' Karada Keikaku range, providing dietary fibre from psyllium seed husk. A food, not a medicine.

Ingredients

Powder in 6 g sachets: 180 g (6 g × 30 sachets), acerola flavour.
Ingredients: psyllium seed husk (made in Japan), glucose / acidulant, flavouring, red yeast rice (monascus) colour, sweetener (aspartame-L-phenylalanine compound).
Per 2 sachets (12 g): energy 13 kcal, protein 0.1 g; dietary fibre from psyllium seed husk 8.0 g.
Contains none of the 27 labelled allergens. Contains phenylalanine (aspartame).

How to use

As a guide, 2 sachets (12 g) a day. Dissolve each sachet in about 100 ml of water and eat it with a spoon as a jelly drink. Never put the powder directly in the mouth — always mix it with water first.

Cautions

Do not put the powder directly in the mouth: always mix it with water before eating.
During menstruation or if you tend to anaemia, take care to get enough iron.
People who handle psyllium directly at work (blending, manufacturing) may very rarely develop itching or a rash (hypersensitivity) when they take this product.
Contains phenylalanine (aspartame).
