A Japanese over-the-counter oral tablet from Kobayashi Pharmaceutical, sold for stiffness in the shoulders and neck. It combines a muscle-relaxant ingredient with analgesic ingredients. Supplied in a pack of 16 tablets.

Indications

Pain and stiffness of the shoulders and neck, lower back pain, back pain, sprains, bruises, neuralgia, rheumatic pain, frozen shoulder, joint pain, myositis, tendinitis. Contains a muscle relaxant (chlorzoxazone) and a pain reliever (ethenzamide).

Ingredients & form

Tablets. 2 tablets contain:
- Chlorzoxazone 300 mg (muscle relaxant)
- Ethenzamide 300 mg (pain reliever)
- Caffeine hydrate 50 mg (counters drowsiness)
Additive: methylcellulose.

Dosage

Adults: 1–2 tablets per dose, twice a day, when in pain or during an attack, with water or hot water. No more than 2 doses a day.
Under 15 years: do not use.
Precautions related to dosage:
- Strictly follow the directions.
- First-time users are advised to start with 1 tablet and then take 1–2 tablets per dose depending on how they feel.
- Push the tablet out through the foil of the blister; swallowing the blister piece can injure the oesophagus.
A doctor's instructions prevail.

Warnings

Do not use:
1. Do not take this product if you:
- have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients;
- have ever had asthma after taking this product, other antipyretic analgesics or cold medicines;
- are a child under 15 or an infant.
2. While taking it, do not take other antipyretic analgesics, cold medicines or sedatives.
3. Do not drive vehicles or operate machinery after taking it (drowsiness may occur).
4. Do not drink alcohol before or after taking it.
5. Do not take it continuously for a long time.
Consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist or registered seller before use if you:
- are under the care of a doctor or dentist;
- are pregnant or may be pregnant;
- are breast-feeding;
- are elderly;
- have ever had an allergic reaction to any medicine;
- have been diagnosed with heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease or gastric/duodenal ulcer.
Stop use at once and consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller, bringing this leaflet, if after taking it:
- skin: rash/redness, itching; face: swelling;
- digestive: nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite;
- nervous system: dizziness;
- other: excessive drop in body temperature.
Rarely the following serious conditions may occur — see a doctor immediately: shock (anaphylaxis); Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis (high fever, red eyes, eye discharge, sore lips, sore throat, widespread rash that persists or worsens rapidly); asthma (wheezing, difficulty breathing).
If symptoms do not improve after 5–6 doses, stop use and consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist or registered seller, bringing this leaflet.

Storage

1. Store in a cool place with little humidity, away from direct sunlight.
2. Keep out of the reach of children.
3. Do not transfer to another container (this may cause misuse or change the quality).
Do not take after the expiry date (on the bottom of the package).
