Description

This medicine, by supplementing iron, improves anemia due to iron insufficiency.

It is usually used to treat iron-deficiency anemia.

Dosing schedule/Directions

Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional.

In general, for children, take 2 to 4 mL (12 to 24 mg as iron) for children aged under 1 year old, 3 to 10 mL (18 to 60 mg) for children aged 1 to 5 years old, and 10 to 15 mL (60 to 90 mg) for children aged 6 to 15 years old as a daily dose in 3 to 4 divided doses. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the nexst dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itching, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods. If you are not in a state of iron insufficiency.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Precautions while taking this medicine

Your teeth or tongue may temporarily be stained black.

Your stool may temporarily turn black.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include photohypersensitivity, rash, hives, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation and stomach discomfort. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

Storing Conditions

Keep out of reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.

The crystallized ingredients may be deposited at a temperature below zero.
