Description
This medication primarily targets the pancreas to enhance insulin secretion. It is commonly used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule should be provided by a doctor or healthcare professional. Generally, for adults, the initial dose is 0.5 to 1 mg of the active ingredient, taken once or twice a day, either in the morning or both in the morning and evening, before or after meals. The typical maintenance dose ranges from 1 to 4 mg per day, with adjustments made as necessary. The maximum allowable daily dose is 6 mg. Each tablet contains 1 mg of the active ingredient. Always follow your prescribed instructions carefully.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time.
If you accidentally take more than the prescribed dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Do not discontinue this medication unless directed by your doctor.
Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have ketosis, diabetic coma or precoma, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, hepatic or renal disfunction, infection, or gastrointestinal disorder such as diarrhea and nausea.
If you are in the pre/postoperative period. If you cannot take sufficient meal due to a cold, etc.
If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
Pay attention when you are engaged in dangerous activities such as working at heights and driving a car, because of concern that you may experience hypoglycemia.
Carry a card stating that you are a patient with diabetes mellitus.
Carry sugar or glucose in preparation for hypoglycemia. If you are taking this medicine concomitantly with an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor (acarbose, voglibose, etc.), take glucose in case any hypoglycemic symptoms occur.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hypoglycemia, hypoglycemic symptoms, nausea, epigastralgia, diarrhea, rash, itchiness, solar sensitiveness, dizziness. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
lassitude, intense hunger, sweat [hypoglycaemia]
fever, anemia, gingiva bleeding and subcutaneous bleeding [pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia]
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowness in the skin and membrana mucosa [liver disorder, jaundice]

Storing Conditions
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder, do not store. Consult with your dispensing pharmacy or medical facility when you discard the medicine.
