Description

This medicine suppresses the growth of hydatid (parasite) by inhibiting microtubule formation to prevent uptake of glucose, which serves as an energy source, and deplete the energy. It is usually used to treat hydatidosis.

Ingredients and dosage form

white tablet (pentagonal projection near the center), diameter: 11.5 mm, thickness: 6.5 mm

Dosing schedule/Directions

Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional.

In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (200 mg as the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day with meal for 28 consecutive days, and then discontinue for 14 days. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.

If it is hard to take this medicine, you may chew the tablet before swallowing.

If you miss a dose and only a short time has passed after a meal, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Warnings

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines. If you have hepatic disorder.

If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant, or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Precautions while taking this medicine

Avoid pregnancy under treatment and within one month from completion of treatment.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hepatic/ bile duct disorder. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

dizziness, shortness of breath when walking up stairs or a slope, nose or gum bleeding [pancytopenia]

sores of the mucous membrane of eyes or mouth, fever, blister on the skin, round or oval red rash [oculomucocutaneous syndrome, erythema multiforme]

general malaise, loss of appetite, yellow discoloration of the skin or white of the eyes [hepatic dysfunction, jaundice]

The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

Storing Conditions

Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Discard the remainder, do not store. Ask the pharmacy or medical institution how to discard them.
