Description
This medication inhibits the enzyme that breaks down incretin, a hormone that regulates blood glucose levels. By doing so, it enhances insulin secretion based on blood glucose levels and improves overall blood glucose control. It is commonly used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional.
In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. The dose can be 1 tablet (50 mg) at a time, once a day in the morning according to your symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions. For patients with moderate or severe renal dysfunction or end stage renal disease on dialysis, the dose can be 1 tablet (50 mg) at a time, once a day in the morning. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have: diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic coma, type 1 diabetes mellitus, hepatic dysfunction, infection or external injury.
If you are in perioperative period.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
Strictly follow diet and exercise therapy instructed by your doctor.
The medicine may cause hypoglycemia. Pay attention when you work at heights, drive a car or operate dangerous machinery.
If you noticed any symptoms of hypoglycemia, take sufficient amount of sugar (sugar, glucose, soft drink, etc.). If you are taking the medicine concomitantly with an alfa-glucosidase inhibitor (medicines which delay absorption of sugar), ingest glucose in case of any hypoglycemic symptoms.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include constipation, hungry and asthenia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

persistent severe abdominal pain, back pain, vomiting [acute pancreatitis]
abdominal bloating, abdominal pain, vomiting [intestinal obstruction]
dry cough, breathing difficulty, fever [interstitial pneumonia]
intensely itchy blisters [pemphigoid]
