Description
This medicine blocks the β1-receptor which transmit the excitation of the sympathetic nerve to heart and reduces the excess work of the heart to show anti-heart failure effect.
It is usually used to treat chronic heart failure caused by ischemic heart diseas or dilated cardiomyopathy.

Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional.
In general, for adults, initially take 1 tablet (0.625mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. If you have tolerance (have no difficulty) in taking this medicine for more than two weeks, the dose will be increased to 2 tablets (1.25mg) at a time, once a day. Further, if you have more tolerance, the dose will be increased stepwise at intervals of more than 4 weeks. If you do not have the tolerance, the dose will be decreased. The dose change is always adjusted stepwise and you usually take 0.625mg, 1.25mg, 2.5mg, 3.75mg or 5mg at a time, once a day. Depending on your age and symptoms, the initial dose may be lower and the dose may be increased at a smaller dose range.
In general, take 2 to 8 tablets (1.25 to 5mg) at a time, once a day as maintenance dose. It may be adjusted according to the effects of this medicine. DO NOT exceed the daily maximum dosage, 8 tablets (5mg) at a time, once a day.
This preparation contains 0.625mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
If you have bradycardia, atrioventricular block, sinoatrial block, sick sinus syndrome, diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, cardiogenic shock, right-sided heart failure caused by pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, peripheral circulatory disturbance or untreated pheochromocytoma.
If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
This medicine may cause dizziness/lightheadedness. Be aware of operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include bradycardia, malaise, dizziness on standing up, dizziness, swelling and respiratory distress. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
