Description
This medicine, a cephem antibiotic, shows bactericidal action by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
It is usually used for the treatment of wide-ranged infections including respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, gynecologic infections, otorhinologic infections, and dental and oral surgical infections.

Ingredients and dosage form
white to slightly yellowish white tablet (diameter: 8.7 mm, thickness: 4.2 mm)

Dosing schedule/Directions
Your dosing schedule must be prescribed by your doctor or a healthcare professional
・In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (100 mg [titer] of the active ingredient) at a time, twice daily, after meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. If the symptoms are severe or the medicine is not effective, take 2 tablets (200 mg [titer]) ) at a time, twice daily, after meals. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
・If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
・Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Warnings
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have renal disorder.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, loose stool, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, swelling of lymph gland, arthralgia, rash, hives, erythema, itch and fever. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
・facial pallor, breathing difficulty, cold sweat [shock, anaphylaxis]
・fever; erythema/blister/erosion, congested bulbar conjunctiva [toxic epidermal necrosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome]
・abdominal pain, frequent diarrhea [pseudomembranous colitis]
・decrease of urine output, edema, headache [acute renal failure]
・fever, cough, breathing difficulty [interstitial pneumonia, PIE syndrome]
・general fatigue, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin/white of eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
・nasal bleeding, gum bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding [thrombocytopenia]

Storing Conditions
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight and heat.
・Discard the remainder, do not store.
