A Japanese over-the-counter topical analgesic liquid from Kobayashi Pharmaceutical, applied directly with a sponge applicator head. Its active ingredient is indomethacin 1%. Supplied in a 110 ml bottle. This version has a wide applicator head.

Indications

Relief of joint pain, lower back pain, bruises, sprains, muscle pain, tendovaginitis (hand/wrist pain), elbow pain (such as tennis elbow), and shoulder pain associated with stiff shoulders.

Ingredients & form

Liquid for external use with a rubber applicator. 100 mL contains:
- Indometacin 1000 mg
- l-Menthol 3000 mg
Additives: glycyrrhetinic acid, benzyl alcohol, lauromacrogol, propylene carbonate, citric acid, pH adjuster, BHT, sucrose octaacetate, ethanol.

Dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area, up to 4 times a day.
Precautions related to dosage:
(1) Children aged 11 and over should use it only under the supervision of a guardian.
(2) Keep away from the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse at once with water or lukewarm water; if symptoms are severe, see an eye doctor.
(3) For external use only.
(4) Do not use more than 50 mL per week.
- Do not cover the treated area with plastic wrap or anything else that does not breathe.
- People with especially sensitive skin should not use it repeatedly on the same spot.
- Do not use other topical products on the same area.
A doctor's instructions prevail.

Warnings

Do not use:
1. Do not use this product if you:
- have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients;
- have ever had asthma;
- are a child under 11 years of age.
2. Do not apply to: the area around the eyes or mucous membranes; eczema, contact dermatitis or wounds; athlete's foot, ringworm or festering areas.
3. Do not use continuously for a long time.
Consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller before use if you:
- are under a doctor's care;
- are pregnant or may be pregnant;
- have ever had an allergic reaction to any medicine.
Stop use at once and consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller, bringing the box, if after use the skin shows rash/redness, itching, swelling, stinging, a feeling of heat, dryness or contact dermatitis.
If symptoms do not improve after 5–6 days of use, stop use and consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller, bringing the box.

Storage

(1) Store upright with the cap tightly closed in a cool, dark place with little humidity, away from direct sunlight.
(2) Keep out of the reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to another container (this may cause misuse or change the quality).
(4) Keep away from fire (contains ethanol).
- If the cap is not tightly closed, the liquid may leak.
- The liquid can damage or stain plastics (glasses frames, combs, toilet seats, etc.), synthetic fabrics, wood (painted furniture, floors) and leather — keep it off them.
- If it gets on clothing, wash it promptly following the garment's care label.
