Ammeltz Gold EX is a Japanese topical anti-inflammatory analgesic liquid (Class 2 OTC drug) by Kobayashi Pharmaceutical for shoulder pain with stiff shoulders, muscle pain, lower back pain, joint pain, tendovaginitis, elbow pain, bruises and sprains.
100 mL contains felbinac 3 g, l-menthol 6 g, nonivamide (nonanoic acid vanillylamide) 12 mg and chlorphenamine maleate 100 mg.
Form: liquid for external use in a 'yoko-yoko' bottle with an applicator, so the hands stay clean.

Indications

Shoulder pain associated with stiff shoulders, muscle pain, lower back pain, joint pain, tendovaginitis (pain and swelling of the hand, wrist or ankle), elbow pain (e.g. tennis elbow), bruises, sprains.

Ingredients & form

Liquid for external use. 100 mL contains:
- Felbinac 3 g
- l-Menthol 6 g
- Nonanoic acid vanillylamide (nonivamide) 12 mg
- Chlorphenamine maleate 100 mg
Additives: glycyrrhetinic acid, propylene glycol, diisopropanolamine, pH adjuster, BHT, ethanol.

Dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 2–4 times a day.
Precautions related to dosage:
(1) Take care not to get it into the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse at once with water or lukewarm water; if symptoms are severe, see an eye doctor.
(2) For external use only.
- Do not cover the treated area with plastic wrap or anything else that does not breathe.
- If your skin is particularly sensitive, do not keep applying it to the same place.
- If used before or after sweating (sports, bathing, etc.), stinging, pain or a hot feeling may increase; if these are strong, washing it off with soap relieves them.
A doctor's instructions prevail.

Warnings

Do not use (not following this may worsen current symptoms or make side effects more likely):
1. Do not use this product if you:
- have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients;
- have ever had asthma;
- are pregnant or may be pregnant;
- are a child under 15 years of age.
2. Do not apply to: the area around the eyes or mucous membranes; eczema, skin rash (contact dermatitis), wounds or festering areas.
Consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller before use if you:
- are under a doctor's treatment;
- have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine or other substance.
Stop use at once and consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller, taking this box with you, if any of the following appear after use (possible side effects):
- skin: rash/redness, itching, swelling, contact dermatitis, pain, burning sensation, stinging.
Rarely shock (anaphylaxis) may occur: soon after use, itching of the skin, hives, hoarseness, sneezing, itchy throat, breathing difficulty, palpitations, clouding of consciousness — see a doctor immediately.
If symptoms do not improve after 5–6 days of use, stop use and consult a doctor, pharmacist or registered seller, taking this box with you.

Storage

(1) Store standing upright with the cap firmly closed, in a cool place with little humidity, away from direct sunlight (a cool, dark place).
(2) Keep out of the reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to another container (this may cause misuse or change the quality).
- If the cap is not firmly closed, the liquid may leak.
- If it gets on clothing, wash it promptly following the clothing's care label.
- Do not use after the expiry date (on the bottom of the box and of the container).
- Keep away from fire (contains ethanol; flammable).
